About Philly Primary

Situated in the heart of the Indian River Central School District, Philadelphia Primary is the smallest of the Indian River schools. We are located in the village of Philadelphia nestled along the banks of the picturesque Indian River.

Built in 1936, our building was the Philadelphia High School from 1937 to 1958. We became an elementary school when the four main districts in the area centralized to become Indian River.

Philadelphia Primary has a strong tradition of providing the best education possible for your child. This tradition is carried on by the outstanding faculty, staff, parents, and community members who take pride in our students’ achievement throughout their academic career at Indian River.

Whether your family has lived here for generations or you are new to our area, you are all a part of the Philly Family. Welcome to Philly Primary!
